Светлый задаёт вопросы

Это был замечательный предновогодний сюрприз: группа школьников из поселка городского типа Светлый Саратовской области прислала нам небольшой ролик с обращением к Наташе!

Ребята изучают английский язык в Доме Детского Творчества, и у них появилось несколько вопросов по поводу Рождества. Что вполне закономерно в это время года.

Пока еще стоит наша ёлка (которую, по английским традициям надо убрать с глаз долой до 6-го января), пока еще живы воспоминания о быстро пролетевшем католическом Рождестве, мы с Наташей записали ответы на все, ребром поставленные, вопросы!

Пользуясь случаем, хотим поблагодарить школьников и их преподавательницу Юлию Владимировну за замечательный подарок, а также пожелать всем счастливого Нового Года и больших успехов в изучении английского языка!

Hello, this is me, Natasha again!

It was a big surprise when we received a video from pupils who live in the small town in Saratovskaya oblast. The name of their town is Svetliy, which to translate in English would be Light Coloured.

Such a beautiful name to the town! I think all the people who I know now from this town are really cheerful and bright!

Now, as you have seen this video I would like to answer the questions that these very clever children have asked.

Vanya asked what presents did I get this year for Christmas?

I’ve got a lot of different presents from my parents, my Grandmother, my Aunties and from my friends. My favourite present was wireless headphones to listen to music.

I’ve also got new shoes, a school bag and clothes. Among the presents were warm gloves and a scarf, which are not of much use at the moment, as winter is very mild this year. We still didn’t have any snow and temperatures remain around +15 degrees.

Angelina asked what is my favourite Christmas?

Oh, well, I would like Christmas to be white.

Have you heard this expression: a White Christmas? This is what all British people dream about. We want a real White Christmas, so that we can build a snowman and go sleighing.

Yegor asked what is your favourite Christmas song?

I like ‘I wish it could be Christmas everyday’ by Wizard because it brings me into the Christmas mood every time I hear it.

Dima asked what is my favourite Christmas film?

My favourite Christmas film is ‘Elf’ because it is entertaining and funny at times.

It is a creative way of thinking how elves live.

Also I enjoy the ‘Polar express’ as it shows what could be happening at the North Pole.

Nastya asked do I send out Christmas cards?

Yes, I do send out Christmas cards to all my friends with a present of some kind.

And I also receive masses of them.

I give out different cards every year and find funny ones that my friends will hopefully enjoy. One of my favourite ones this year were the cards which I gave to all my best friends. Merry Christmoose! Can you see why it is funny?

Danyl asked what would be my ideal Christmas party?

Just to have my family and my closest friends to be with me on Christmas day, to have delicious food and play games until the night is up.

Christmas is for giving and sharing, so it is always nice to give (and of course to receive) PRESENTS!
